Cyber-Security
As a cyber security specialist in training I have a lot of information to hand which is up to date and applicable to business and home users alike. This site is here to share hints tips and security information.
About Me
After a childhood tinkering with computers, I started my professional IT career in 2005. Mainly dealing with company IT networks and setup.
My attention was directed more towards online services as the cloud gained momentum, at which point I started BYTE Computing as a limited company in 2015 to provide online file services, exchange, hosted antivirus and remote desktop. Both of these periods gave me a good knowledge of networking, DNS, internet security and IT security.
IT now faces its biggest challenges, in the form of organised crime, malicious actors, and even skilled amateurs, creating a distributed threat that can threaten any computer system. To that end I started NORSOC in 2022 to help bring managed security to East Anglian Business.
I have a masters in computer science with cyber security and I am a sessional lecturer in cyber security at Wrexham University.
